I first read about couchsurfing in Aftenposten a few weeks ago and early last week I decided to register on couchsurfing.com and offer my couch for anybody that wanted to visit Oslo. Just a day after I registered I received a couch surfing request by mail from Holger, from Germany.
He had booked a trip to Oslo on friday and return trip on monday. At first I was a bit reluctant, especially because of the short notice, but I thought what the heck and said he could stay for friday to saturday at least. Since he happened to be a great guy he ended up staying the whole weekend of course. We cooked some traditional norwegian food like Finnbiff and Grandiosa together, went out partying at Moloch and of course did some sightseeing in Oslo. All in all it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely accept more couchsurfers in the future, and hopefully go couchsurfing myself next summer! 🙂
